How To Get A Miracle In Four Words Or Less

When The Master Of Prayer Speaks

Prayer has so many dimensions.. The power of prayer has gotten in my spirit and as I began to apply many prayer principles in my prayer life I tapped into more depth of the spiritual prayer world. It seems like as I get through understanding one dimension of prayer the Holy Spirit through the scripture gives me discernment about another dimension.but today I'm going to talk about prayer and miracles.

You don't have to go into long drawn out prayers to get a miracle. We're going to look at Jesus' prayer life in this article and see how decisive he was in his speech when performing miracles.  I believe in prayer and I believe in preaching by the Holy Spirit.  Some people have a religious faith and not a spirit of faith.  But the Lord is the same today and, yesterday and forever.  When He finds faith, a miracle always happens. Jesus knew who He was. We must know today who we are also in Him, and what power Jesus gave us by the works of the cross.

The Holy Spirit will give you boldness to preach and to ask for miracles.  In Acts notice the order of how the disciples prayed and then they preached.  They prayed before they preached with great power.  G-d's word is living, powerful and miracles happen when the word of G-d is preached.

Deliverance comes when people embrace and act upon the Word of G-d. G-d's word never returns to him void.  G-d does not get involved with human affairs, even as powerful as his word is, without prayer.  When someone bends their knees and bows their head and cries out to G-d that's when He intervenes.

G-d's word is a living word. Look at John 1:14, "And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth."  Jesus is the living Word and He identifies himself with G-d's Holy Word.

Look at Hebrews 4:12, "For the Word of G-d is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart."

G-d spoke through the Prophet in Isaiah 55:11 saying, "So shall My Word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to me void, but shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it."

G-d's word as we see here is a penetrating word. You may be wondering just how powerful is the word of G-d? Jesus is the Word and when He spoke the word miracles followed.

Guess what, G-d has a miracle for you too.  As a matter of fact, you can get a miracle with just four words.  Jesus was in the temple and the Pharisees ask Him about healing on the Sabbath.  Look at Matthew 12:10, it says, "And behold, there was a man who had a withered hand. And they asked Him saying, 'Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath?', that they might accuse Him."

Now look at verse 13, and Jesus said to the man with a lame hand, "STRETCH OUT YOUR HAND." The man stretched out his hand as far as he could and when he did power came from heaven and healed him. Jesus restored his hand and he was whole.  There are infirmities among us that Jesus wants to heal today.  Somebody can get healed with these four words spoken today.

Notice Jesus didn't pray and say, Father do this. Jesus gave the command of faith and this man was instantly healed.  Jesus had spent time in prayer with G-d the Father before He performed this miracle. In the natural you can't do this, but when you speak the Word it brings a supernatural miracle from G-d.

Jesus put himself in agreement with G-d and released His faith.  The man moved his hand as far as he could when Jesus spoke suddenly G-d moved in his behalf and he stretched his hand out all the way.

G-d expects his people to act upon His word. Jesus is the Word.  The Word that became living.  When we agree with the Word and line up our thoughts and act on the Word and loose our faith, G-d performs miracles.  You can get a miracle from G-d with these four words.

You can also get a miracle with just three words from G-d.  Lazarus was dead, so Jesus went to Bethany and came to Martha as we see in Matthew 11:21. Martha had evidently seen Jesus praying to the Father. She said, "If you'll just ask the Father, he will give it to you."

But Jesus, the man of faith had already talked to the Father.  Jesus knew how to give a command.  This is what I want you to see.  But I know that what I ask of the Father he will give to me.  Jesus said, "Thy brother will rise again."

Martha said, "I know he will rise again in the resurrection on the last day."  Jesus said unto her, "I am the resurrection and he that believeth in me, though he were dead yet he shall live."  Do you know what I'm talking about here?  With G-d all things are possible.  You can get a miracle with just three words from G-d.

Martha's faith went from today's faith to tomorrow's faith.  Faith is a now thing and Jesus was trying to activate her faith.  Look at John 11:25, Jesus said unto her, "I am the resurrection and the life."  Jesus said, I am here right now and I can take care of your need right now.  He is telling us that if we can only believe, we shall see the glory of G-d.

Jesus, the man of action walks up to the tomb and he says, take the stone away. You have got to enter into your miracle.  You've got to do what you can do based on the Word of G-d.  Expect G-d to do what only G-d can do.

And they rolled the stone away.  Jesus stepped up to that tomb and he did what only G-d can do. He cried with a loud voice, "LAZARUS, COME FORTH."  And Lazarus, who had been dead for four days came forth and he lived again. You can get a miracle with just these three words from G-d!

You can get a miracle with only two words too. While Jesus was on this earth he met death on several occasions.  The grim reaper came, but Jesus met him and defeated him.  He raised Lazarus from the dead, then he met a widow and her only son was dead.  So Jesus is coming down the road in one direction and in a different direction comes a funeral procession.  The people are crying and morning and broken.  This widow, she has already lost her husband and now her only son has died. He's dead.

And so, here comes Jesus Christ, the Son of the living G-d.  The people start shouting and rejoicing.  I can just see the multitude around Jesus. The blind have received their sight. The deaf have received their hearing. The lame are walking and people are shouting in many voices as they see Him coming. Miracles always happen when Jesus passes by.

All of a sudden these two processions meet.  The widowed mother is weeping as she walks toward the grave for her son.  Jesus, in his compassion, reached over as he passed by and touched the dead boy's coffin and resurrection power flowed into that body.  Jesus raised this young man from the dead.

Not only did Jesus raise Lazarus from the dead, and not only did he raise the widows son but he did something else.  The respected Synagogue leader came to Jesus and fell at his feet and said, "Lord, please can you come to my house? My 12 year old daughter is dying.  But notice what happened. Remember, doubt is a killer to faith. In Luke 8:49, Jesus said, "Believe only, and she shall be made whole."

When he came into the house, we see in verse 52, he suffered no man to go in except Peter, James, John and the father of the maiden girl. All wept over the girl.  But Jesus said, "Weep not, she is not dead, she is only sleeping."  They laughed him to scorn, knowing full well that the girl was dead. Miracles do not happen in the atmosphere of doubt and unbelief. This is why Jesus didn't let all the people go in because they were a bunch doubters.

Jesus spake two words, "MAID ARISE." And her spirit arose again. Jesus said, "give her something to eat." He went from the supernatural back to the natural. Miracles are the cooperation of man.

You can get a miracle with just one word!

Jesus was a man of prayer. He left his disciples and went up unto the mountains alone to pray.  While he was praying, the disciples were in the midst of a storm in the Sea of Galilee.  That boat they were in was being tossed to and fro like a little tooth pick.  Jesus saw them and He went unto them walking on the water.

Look at Matthew 14:25. It was in the fourth watch of the night which is 3:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m. and Jesus walked out to them on the water. The disciples cried out, "It's a spirit."  But Jesus spake unto them and said, "Be of good cheer, it is I." Can you imagine that?  Be not afraid, he told them. Peter spoke up and said, "Lord, if it be thou, bid me to come to thee on the water."

You can get a miracle with just one word. In Matthew 14:29 Jesus said, "COME".  No wonder the disciples said, "never has a man spake as this one."  Peter stepped out on the water, and he began walking toward Jesus.  Peter put one foot on the sea and the other on the C, and the other on the O and the other on the M and the other on the E.

Peter was walking on the Word and he had his eyes on Jesus. Does that grip your heart? It does mine!  Peter's walking according to the Word of G-d and it created a miracle for him.  Notice this in Matthew 14:30. But when Peter saw the winds boisterous he was afraid and begin to sink and cried out to Jesus, "Lord, save me."

Immediately, Jesus stretched forth His hand and caught Peter.  Jesus said, "Why didst thou doubt Peter?"  You can't take your eyes off the Master after you speak the Word, no matter what kind of fear grips you.  I believe this is what causes healing to fail in cancer patients. They take their eyes off the Master healer and put in on a doctor's report.

You can get a miracle with just one word spoken with faith.  No matter what it looks like in the natural and when we get our miracle we have walked in the power of the supernatural. You have transcended the natural into the supernatural power of G-d that manifests and altars matter. You have moved a mountain just as Jesus says we can.

What It Means To Live A Spirit Filled Life

What A Real Spirit Filled Person Looks Like

There are certain qualities evident in your life when you live a Spirit filled life. Speaking in tongues every Sunday does not mean you live a Spirit filled life. This article is going to cover the four qualities you will see in a person who walks in the spirit life.

Let's look at Romans 8:5, "For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit." And Romans 8:14 tells us, "For as many as are led by the Spirit of G-d, these are sons of G-d."

There are people who are carnally minded in the church and there are spiritually minded Christians in the church as well.  If you are a carnal Christian you're on dangerous ground and in danger of backsliding. Carnal means death and a spiritual life gives life and peace.  I'm talking about that peace we have in a turbulent world and it comes from the Spirit of G-d in us.

The Spirit filled life does not mean because you speak in tongues you are righteous and filled with the Spirit. Speaking in tongues is only an initial evidence. It's one thing to have an initial infilling and quite another to walk in the anointing.

The Apostle Paul baptized people in the Holy Spirit as we see in Ephesians 5:15, but you have to be continually filled to walk in it. You have a chose as a Christian, you can become stagnate or you can keep pressing on to the mark.  You can be led by the Spirit or led by man, the natural.

People who are led by the Spirit are led by G-d.  Galations 5:17 says, "For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish."  There's a war going on for your flesh and your Spirit. There are two forces going on in Christians. You have a witness to your Spirit. Then you have a force that tries to control the flesh. The force that you feed will be the one to win.

You can not do as you please and feed the flesh and think that you will have the Spirit. So, let's look closer at what it means to live this Spirit filled life.

1. Holiness

Pentecost is suppose to lead you to holiness. We were Holiness before we were Pentecostals. All that changed after the great awakening of Azuza Street.  Before you get this infilling, you will have to walk righteous.  If you don't live a moral and righteous life you are not filled.  I knew an adulterous preacher that boldly claimed he was still filled and anointed. Well, according to the word adultery is a road to a devil's hell and not to holiness. The bible says an adulterer's fate is a lake of fire.  So, always measure holiness by a life of holiness and not words that are contrary to G-d's word.

If you want a righteous life that is blessed live like Hebrews 12:14 tells you. "Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord." You can't go around with bitterness, gossiping and causing trouble and have a holy life. This verse tells us that without holiness we will not see the Lord. Selah!

You see, I like to get into the trenches and live out the word.  You can tell me anything but show me where the rubber meets the road. I'm a conceptional person and like to see how things work out logically. So, when you see the preacher committing adultery, there should be a red flag pop up in your spirit and say, hey something is not lining up with the word here. If you go around hurting people in your church and then get up on Sunday morning and speak in tongues, a red flag is going to go up to people with spiritual discernment.

You may have had an initial filling but somewhere along your walk the anointing left you. 1 Peter 1:22 says, "Since you have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit in sincere love of the brethren, love one another fervently with a pure heart." So when you see a brother or sister hurt another in the body by gossip, false statements, bitterness or jealousy then you can be sure they are not filled with the Spirit.

The devil can counterfeit many things and he can counterfeit tongues but he can't counterfeit holiness.  You may have had an experience with being filled at one time, but are running on empty now. Not living holy can take it from you. Romans 6:22 says, "But now having been set free from sin, and having become slaves of G-d, you have your fruit to holiness, and the end, everlasting."

11 Corinthians 7:1 says, "Therefore, having these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of G-d." Another scripture on this is Ephesians 4:24.

Holiness always precedes power.  The old man has to be crucified and yield to righteousness unto G-d. People have got to see a change in you and your life must show that you are set apart from the world.

2.  The Fruit Of The Spirit

As you grow in G-d you'll begin to bear fruit.  Your heart will have compassion and love and you will serve others and be a light in their life. You will become more like Christ.  You will begin to see the impurities in yourself. At times I would shake my head and go, "Lord, the closer I get to you the more impurities I see in me!" I see a lot of people who say, no I'm not a great Christian but I am a good person. But you have impurities in your heart because you can't have a pure heart without the Lord cleaning you up and a mind renewal by the Spirit. There will be no fruit, for Ephesians 5:8 tells us, "For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness, righteousness and truth and finding out what is acceptable to the Lord."

You must have a life of fruitfulness according to the scripture, not according to your carnal mind. Let's look at how your mind thinks and see how carnal or holy you are.

*Whose desires do you seek, yours or G-d's?

*What do you think about when you wake up and throughout the day? Is your mind more centered on you or G-d and others?

*What do you think about on your job everyday, yourself or how you can help a co-worker, and do you treat your job as hands working as unto the Lord?

*What do you meditate on most of the time? Are you meditating on scripture, praying, or what you can do for another, or is your mind filled on self each day and the things of this world?

* What are you thinking on as you lay down in the bed at night?

There are some things that are not sin but are not good for you.  They can become sin if they become your priority.  Keep your priorities in your spiritual life and home and family straight.

Don't cut yourself off from G-d because His word offends you. Don't get angry at the preacher because the word of G-d he delivers to you upsets your worldly way of thinking. The word was offensive to many when Jesus spoke it. If you produce fruit and walk a holy life you are going to offend people who are not righteous. Look at Jesus, he offended many. Mat 13:57. People like to justify their sin in the carnal mind. Hosea 5:15 says, "I will return again to My place till they acknowledge their offense. Then they will seek My face; in their affliction they will earnestly seek Me."

Well, I didn't write the word that offends you, G-d did. If you will get Holy G-d will speak more truth to you and you won't have do so much justifying of yourself. 1 John 1:7. G-d will offend us until we see the truth, so don't get angry, the man of G-d is only speaking what G-d is trying to tell you. Pray as King David did, Search me O'G-d and see if there is anything unpleasing in me and purify me.

So do you really want to please yourself or G-d? Galations 5:22 tells us what G-d wants, "love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness. He doesn't want idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contention, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambition, dissentions, heresies or fornications and uncleaness in his church! Galations 5:20.

3. Gifts Of The Spirit

We use to think speaking in tongues was the goal but my friends, walking a holy life is the goal. That's the mark we must reach. Look at Romans 15:19 and 1 Corinthians 2:4. Demonstration of the Spirit is what you got to have to bless others. Let's look at how the gifts of the Spirit are catagorized.

1. Inspiration Gifts
    tongues, interpretation, prophecy
2. Revelation Gifts
    wisdom, knowledge, discerning of spirits
3. Power Gifts
    healing, miracles, faith

Jesus came up out of the water praying when the Holy Spirit filled him. The gifts are precious to the body. Signs and wonders should follow you. You should see demonstration of the gifts.

4.  A Servant's Heart
If you do not have a heart to serve others then you need to pray for G-d to give you this heart. There are two ministries in a church. One is the righteous servants. Then there are some Ben Lucifer's prowling about the church, and they are the sleeping, angry, fighting, complaining, and some have just plain gone missing. Which heart are you?

The holy and righteous in the church are watching, waiting, praying and looking for the return of Jesus and who wants to be used in Christ's Kingdom. Mark 10:44 tells us how to be used in a mighty way, "And whoever of you desires to be first shall be slave to all."

Have you hidden your talents under a bushel? Do you allow the Holy Spirit to search your heart to show you what's in it that is unpleasing to the Lord, and keeping you from a holy life?

The Prayer Need Of Intercession

Approaching The Throne On Behalf Of Another

Prayer intercession is to pray on the behalf of others. When you pray you need to be so full of the spirit you give utterance in the Holy Spirit. Romans 8:27 says, "Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of G-d.

The Holy Ghost anoints us to pray the perfect will of G-d indeed. He says here that he intervenes with his saints who pray.  If you want to pray the will of G-d, pray in the spirit or pray in the word.  G-d still fills us and sanctifies us. The will of G-d is for all of us to be saved and sanctified. 1 Thessalonians 4:4 says, "That each of you should know how to possess his own vessel in sanctification and honor."

You should know how to take control and possess your flesh.  We know G-d's will on certain matters. We know he wants us to prosper and be in good health. He wants us to walk righteous and have love for one another. But how do you pray the will of G-d when you don't know what to pray for another person's life or your own circumstances? Well, you will see that in this teaching because we are going to talk about the world of intercession.  It's a dynamic prayer world.

The reason  I'm teaching so much on prayer is because we're going to have a spiritual awakening and we've got to pray for the harvest and for the laborers. Matthew 9:38.  When you pray for the lost, give G-d an exact list of what you want for a person.  Make your request known to G-d, and wait for it to show up.

How do you pray the fervent, effectual prayer for the lost? There are five things to pray and ask G-d for concerning them:

1. Ask G-d to set them apart
2. Ask G-d to bless them
3. Ask G-d to convict them
4. Ask G-d to illuminate their mind
5. Ask G-d to save them

1. How are we set apart?

Let's look at John 16:23, "And in that day you will ask me nothing. Most assuredly, I say to you, whatever you ask the Father in my name He will give you." You see, we don't receive for others because we don't ask.

Let's look at each one of these requests when praying for the lost. Let me just say first, that we Pentecostals believe in a second work of sanctification to operate in the gifts. In 1 Peter 1:2, we see the first sanctification. "Elect according to the foreknowledge of G-d the Father, in sanctification of the Spirit, for obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ."

The blood of Jesus was poured out for salvation, so the blood has to be sprinkled on you. Just as in the old bible the people prayed for the sprinkling of hyssop, so we pray for the sprinkling of Christ to make us white as snow. ll Thessalonians 2:13 says, "But we are bound to give thanks to G-d always for you, brethren beloved by the Lord, because G-d chose you for salvation through sanctification by the Spirit and belief in the truth."

G-d always has to sanctify and set apart to be saved. Now here is a sacred experience to walk in the gifts. John 6:65, Jesus says, "Therefore, I have said to you that no one can come to Me unless it has been granted to him by My Father."  Until G-d sets somebody apart, a person can't be saved.

2. Ask G-d to bless them!

It is the goodness of G-d that leads to repentance. We learn what his goodness is by learning how sinful we are before him. His word is a good thing, for it makes all go well with us.  I want my children to be saved not torn apart by the devil. I want a G-dly marriage, so start saying "peace unto this house." and get the devil out. This is the dominion that G-d prepared us for from the beginning. Because you see, the family is G-d's prized possession.

3. Ask G-d to convict them!

Conviction is absolutely necessary to be saved. So ask G-d to bring conviction to them through another, or a preacher, or a witness. Sinners have broken G-d's laws and they must first realize the state they are in. Lost, means you're headed for hell. That's what coming to the cross in a humble, broken, contrite heart means.

The Lord saves us from bondage and a sin filled life.  Has G-d called you over and over about a matter of your soul? It will break your heart when he does, and bring conviction. We see the Apostle Paul trying to bring conviction to Felix, the Roman Ruler. It brought fear into Felix when he heard what his destiny in hell was.

When the Holy Spirit calls you to go to the altar, not on your own but by his Spirit that has called you out. You need to go, because you may miss your appointed time. Now the bible never tells us if Felix gets saved or not, but there are people who feel the call but don't act on and miss being saved. The person that G-d uses to bring that conviction will echo into their ears in hell for eternity.

4.  Ask G-d to illuminate their mind!

The sinner does not know the way unto salvation. The cross is foolishness to them.  But to us who are saved, it is the power of G-d.  We know he raised us up, saved us inspite of the wretchedness that we were. That's grace my friends.  Ask G-d to open the mind of the lost.  The gospel is hidden by the sinful world. They are blinded to this new way with the Lord. They have scales on their eyes and until somebody proclaims Jesus or a witness shows up and speaks the word, they will remain blinded. This is how important it is for every Christian to witness to the lost.

Speak to the devil on a person's life, tell him, I bind you in the name of Jesus. Ask G-d to stop anyone that's trying to influence your child in a negative way.  They must hear the Word of G-d as well to come into salvation.

Knowledge brings sanctification, healing and miracles.  It gives you power to walk in the word.  Truth and knowledge of the word sets you free.

5.  How do you pray for the lost?

You must know how to do warfare!  You'll have to learn how to pray the prayer of command in faith. It breaks the strongholds of darkness. John 14:13 says, "And whatever you ask in My Name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the son."

Jesus said, I will do this.  You can bind the strongholds. Mark 3:27 says, "No one can enter a strong man's house and plunder his goods, unless he first binds the strong man. And then he will plunder his house." Go reach inside of darkness, and snatch a person from bondage.

Demons are real folks, but Jesus has given us power over them.  If you want to set the captive free you'll have to pray the command of faith.

What are our weapons of warfare?
1. Prayer
2. Blood of Jesus
3. Name of Jesus
4. Word of G-d
5. Praise
6. Fasting
7. Love

1. When we choose to love others we have Christ in us. No matter how they get on your nerves, and they will, you still love them. They will mess us and some will stumble but you speak the word over them and keep praying for them. The worst thing is to not have love for the lost in your heart. There is faith, love and charity and of all these, and love is the greatest of all to possess. If you love others you will pray for them.

Keep giving the command of faith over and over on strongholds of alcohol, drugs, cigarettes, pornography. Persistence in your prayer life is essential to break strongholds. You can never mask a stronghold and be free from it. You've got to go to the prayer warriors to get this thing out of you.

If you're not praying then Satan is winning. When you're praying he has no power over the fervent, effective prayer of the Saint.  A lot of preachers will pray over a sermon behind the pulpit right before he brings the word, but if he hasn't prayed all week, then I doubt conviction will come to somebody.

2. Every legal claim that the devil had was cancelled on Calvary by the works of the cross by Jesus Christ. Jesus took back what Adam lost, and his authority and dominion is now ours again. Run the devil out, he has already been defeated. l John 3:8, Hebrews 2:14.

I love Colossians 2:15, it says, "Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it." The church is to enforce that victory we have.

3. The Name of Jesus!

Look at Luke 10:19 "Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you."  The spirits are subject to you! You have this authority but the devil will lie to you and make you think you can't command him.

The Greek translation for Holy Spirit is pneuma. The translation for Holy Spirit power is is dunamus and the translation for authority is exousia. You have authority over the devil. Jesus broke the headship of Satan. The devil does have power and he roams around to see who doesn't know what their power and authority is. Speak to him and tell him to "come out."

4.  Word of G-d!

The word is living and powerful. Truth will prevail over a lie every time. The word will wash you, and cleanse you, renew your mind and it will set you free. It will cause healing, build your faith and show you righteousness. The word defines who you are in Christ. It teaches us our Father's love and obedience to his commands.

5. Praise!

Praise is powerful! Did you know that it's a weapon against the devil?  Judah means praise. That's why we see victory whenever Judah goes up against her enemies. Praise will defeat the devil. Look at what happened in the jail with the Apostle Paul. He was in the midnight hour, and darkness all around him. He boldly stood up and began praising the Lord. The prison cell was shaken open, and he took the prison guard into salvation. Well, glory! You shouldn't be worried what others are thinking of you when you get up out of that pew and praise the one who saved you! It will set you free from strongholds and hindering spirits.

6. Fasting!

The purpose of warfare is to enforce Jesus' authority that he gave us. Isaiah 58:6 says, "Is this not the fast that I have chosen, to loose the bonds of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, to let the oppressed go free, and that you break every yolk."

7. Love is a weapon!

Do you love others as your self?  There's a battle going on in the church and we win with prayer by pulling down strongholds and imaginations. ll Corinthians 10:5. I'm giving you some real knowledge here on how to win church. We are commanded to use this power and knowledge to save souls and to set the captive free.

Lord Teach Us To Pray

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name!

Prayer is the key! Prayer is the power that unlocks treasures and resources from heaven and makes them available to us here on earth.

Some people need deliverance. Some people pray and give up because they don't know that prayer takes persistence.  Prayer is completion because there's so many dimensions to prayer.  When you have knowledge G-d expects you to use it.

If G-d convicts you to forgive, to tithe to stop gossiping, then you need to do it.  How does he convict us? Through the word and the spirit.  Our prayers will be answered on the basis of obedience.  The spirit of the Lord speaks through his word.  Be obedient and G-d will answer your prayers.

Need does not unleash G-d's treasure, or to intervene in human affairs.  If you come to G-d using the right keys he will intervene in your life situation like you've never known. A few years ago I went into this bookstore and I saw so many books that looked like treasures.  I said, Oh Lord, I don't know what to buy. I turned and on a shelf at my feet I saw at title, 'Secrets to answered prayers', by Lester Summerall. That book expanded my mind about prayer.

If you can get this secret in your spirit you'll have the answer to all the other books.  Jesus' disciples said, "Lord, teach us to pray." Jesus then taught them the model prayer. Matthew 6:9-13 and in Luke 18:1.

Many people refer to this as the Lord's Prayer, but the Lord's Prayer is in John 17.  Jesus prayed this prayer when he knew his time had come. He prayed for himself, his disciples and his followers.

But in Matthew 6:9 Jesus shows us the model prayer. We need to study this prayer for it is the prayer model that Jesus taught us to use. This is not all we can say in prayer, but it is your model.  Would you make a cake or dress without a pattern?  We must approach G-d with a proper attitude.

Sometimes we forget everything and just say, Oh Lord, help me. or we just simply call out his name. The Lord says, call upon me and I will show you great and mighty things.  He's inviting us to come.  This says that there is a blueprint of how to approach G-d.

When you pray in this manner pray from the heart.  You come before G-d and approach him with respect. Address him as Father. We are the children of G-d. John 14:6 says, "I am the way, the truth and light, no man goes to the Father except through me.

If you haven't been born again by the blood, you are not a child of G-d. In Galations 3:26 Jesus told the Pharisees, "you are not a child of G-d, you are the child of your father, the devil."  They thought because they were Jews that they were covered. But G-d does not let the Jews get by with sin either.

Jesus said, pray to the Father this way!  Jesus was given the name above all names after his ascension. John 14:12-14.  So now, you have power as you pray. Jesus said, the works that I do you will do.  He's given us the authority to do things in his name.  Ask in the command of Jesus' name. Signs and wonders followed the disciples.  They are protected and if they drank anything poisonous or deadly it would not hurt them.

The second way to use Jesus' name is the prayer of petition. John 16:23. One of these times in John Jesus is doing the work and in another the Father is doing the work.  In the petition, you can switch to a prayer of faith and command.

Forgive us our debts.  All of a sudden you can switch to speak to the devil in a command prayer.  Take your hands off my family you devil. Tell him what your authority is and command him to be loosed off of someone. Look at how Jesus spoke to the devil, and you can do the same thing.

Approach Jesus in prayer and thank him for becoming your righteousness and taking your sin onto himself. Approach him with great honor and respect when approaching the throne. It is essential. Hallow his name. Recognize the importance of his name. His name is glorious, marvelous, wonderful and ever what else you want to tell him. Just realize who you are talking to first. Don't just go to prayer and jump right in with all your needs.  Spend some time in prayer, praising him and hallow his name.

You can use Psalms in prayer. Psalm 103:1, and Psalm 34:3 are excellent to use in prayer. Get your audience with G-d first before you start petitioning him. Start sings, 'How Great Thou Art' and see if you don't get G-d's ear.  Talk to him from your inner man.  If you don't speak to him from your heart, you're in trouble.

Let's look at Matthew 6:10, Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. We have to establish his kingdom here on earth.  The church won't pray. We're church goers but not Kingdom minded.  It's about harvest folks. Let eternity drive you.  That's the prayer of the church and when we pray he will intervene for the people.

When you're praying for others, he'll meet your need.  That dimension with G-d will bring you joy in his presence, the rest.  You won't have a long, sad face anymore. Where I live, I live for the Lord, if I die, I die unto the Lord.  Get that in your spirit.  You're a child of G-d.  Pray for G-d's

Our nation is rotten to the core, because of lack of prayer!  It ought to make you fall on your knees.  G-d will not intervene if the church will not pray.  Christ's organization is the only one that can do it, not the government. The politicians are not by the people for the people any longer, but to line there own pockets.

I want my home to be like G-d's kingdom. We need Godly homes and then the church will be Godly. Take the cell phones away from the kids in church. If they sit at your table they'll listen to the preacher. Now a days, the children run the homes. Don't let your children do that. Read the book of Ecclesiastes in chapter 3 and you'll get some discernment. Don't get mad at G-d's prophets, get your life in order and living righteous.  Pray for your success and then pray for the sinners that are lost.

Matthew 6:11, Give us this day our daily bread.  Don't plan for tomorrow. Pray for each day.  Don't make an assumption of what you'll have tomorrow. You could be homeless tomorrow, or jobless or fall ill.  Pray today for what you have and need. Then be thankful for it, for it is the thankful heart that gets blessings for G-d's children.  People can plan their money for investments and the stock market and worry themselves to death. G-d supplies our need one day at a time.

Jesus addresses forgiveness in Matthew 6:12.  Ask G-d for forgiveness and sin in a humble spirit and he will forgive you. Don't ask him for a million dollar house.  Ask him to forgive you for that evil eye you had on that nurse last week at your doctor's appointment, or ask him to forgive you for gossiping about someone yesterday.

G-d will forgive us as we forgive others.  If you don't he won't forgive you.  The worst thing you can do is approach the throne with unforgiveness toward another.

Matthew 6:13, Lead us not into temptation.  Here's you a little nugget from James 1:13, "Let no one who is tempted say I am tempted by G-d, for G-d cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he himself tempt anyone. Each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own desires and lust."  Pray to keep you away from that.

Deliver us from Evil.  The devil is out to kill you, ask the Lord daily to keep the evil one away from your dwelling and your children!

God's Appointed Times

The House of David
Day Of Atonement
It is about repentance in our hearts for the wrongs we have committed against others and to G-d. We can be saved by the blood of Christ and still go about doing others wrong and sinning against G-d by being disobedient. I like how the Jews come to G-d on this high holy day and seek forgiveness from others they have wronged throughout the year. There are two elements to Yom Kippur and they are:

1.                   Prayer
2.                   Fasting

Teshuvah (Repentance)

Yom Kippur is a day of reconciliation, when Jews strive to make amends with people and to draw closer to G-d through prayer and fasting. The ten days leading up to Yom Kippur are known as the Ten Days of Repentance. During this period you are encouraged to seek out anyone you may have offended and to sincerely request forgiveness so that the New Year can begin with a clean slate. If the first request for forgiveness is rebuffed, one should ask for forgiveness at least two more times, at which point the person whose forgiveness is being sought should grant the request.  It is considered cruel for anyone to withhold their forgiveness for offenses that have not caused irrevocable damage.

Although many people think that transgressions from the previous year are forgiven through prayer, fasting and participation in Yom Kippur services, but only offenses committed against G-d can be forgiven on Yom Kippur. Hence it is important that people make an effort to reconcile with others before participating in Yom Kippur services.

Prayer

Yom Kippur is the longest synagogue service in the Jewish year. It begins on the evening before Yom Kippur day with a haunting song called Kol Nidre (All Vows). The words of this melody ask God to forgive any vows people have made to God and not kept.

I wonder how many Christians have made promises to G-d that they haven't kept. This is a great time to renew your promises to the Lord and ask his forgiveness of the wrongs we've done against him and to our fellowman. After all, isn't this the whole objective to the obeying the 10 commandments. They represent our relationship to G-d and to our fellowman.
The Jewish concept of sin is not like the Christian concept of original sin. Christians believe that once you are forgiven and saved by the blood of the lamb that you are forever forgiven even if you repeat sin again. But if you'll look closely at the New Testament this is not what it says at all. But that when you sin you must repeatedly ask for forgiveness.

It’s the kind of everyday offenses like hurting those we love, lying to ourselves or using foul language that Judaism views as sinful as well as Christians. You can clearly see examples of these infractions in the Yom Kippur liturgy, for instance in this excerpt from Al Khet:

For the sin that we have committed under stress or through choice;
For the sin that we have committed in stubbornness or in error;
For the sin that we have committed in the evil meditations of the heart;
For the sin that we have committed by word of mouth;
For the sin that we have committed through abuse of power;
For the sin that we have committed by exploitation of neighbors;
For all these sins, O G-d forgive us!
During the afternoon portion of the Yom Kippur service the Book of Jonah is read to remind people of God’s willingness to forgive those who are sincerely sorry. The last part of the service is called Ne’ilah (Shutting). The name comes from the imagery of Ne’ilah prayers, which talk about gates being shut against us. People pray intensely during this time, hoping to be admitted to God’s presence before the gates have been shut.
You know Christ is coming back for a spotless, unblemished bride and so we need to take a look at how we have grieved the Holy Spirit, how we have failed to do his commandments, and walk in righteousness that he sacrificed so we could become holy before him. His judgment begins in the House of the Lord.

Fasting

Yom Kippur is also marked by 25 hours of fasting. There are other fast days in the Jewish calendar, but this is the only one the Torah specifically commands us to observe. Leviticus 23:27 describes it as "afflicting your souls" and during this time no food may be consumed.
The fast starts an hour before Yom Kippur begins and ends after nightfall on the day of Yom Kippur this coming Friday. In addition to food, Jews are also forbidden from engaging in sexual sexual relations or wearing clothing made of animal skins. The prohibition against wearing leather comes from a reluctance to wear the skin of a slaughtered animal while asking God for mercy.
Christians come before the altar of the the slain lamb of G-d (the cross) to ask forgiveness. This would be a great time as Leviticus tells us to purge our hearts from uncleaness. Jeremiah cried out to G-d and said, Oh Lord, I am living in an unclean nation. Sounds like America today doesn't it. G-d tells us to come out of that kind of living and be holy before Him.
Who Fasts on Yom Kippur
Children under the age of nine are not allowed to fast, while children older than nine are encouraged to eat less. Girls who are 12 years or older and boys who are 13 years or older are required to participate in the full 25-hour fast along with adults. However, pregnant women, women who have recently given birth and anyone suffering from a life-threatening illness are not required to observe the fast. These people need food and drink to keep up their strength and where people know it or not, Judaism always values life above the observance of Jewish law.
Many people end the fast with a feeling of deep serenity, which comes from having made peace with others and with G-d. Oh let us return to our Judeo-Christian roots and bring back the commandments in our nation. Let us bring back prayer in our church and in our homes.

Wilson Voice:

When you begin to study Judaism and the history of the Christian Church we really don't have that much difference, we serve the same G-d and we are both looking for the coming of the Messiah. We have the same patriarchs, the same prophets, and the share the first 5 books of the bible (Torah). We are a branch in grafted into the root, and we are the HOUSE OF DAVID. Christians need to come back to the commandments and the Jewish people need to stop relying so much on rituals and works and know that it is righteousness unto works and not works unto righteousness. The massive Messianic movement is evangelizing to accomplish just this. What we both can do is pray and fast and come before the Lord on his appointed times.

Putting G-d To Work

Our Father Who Art In Heaven

When we pray we put G-d to work. When we pray G-d does things he ordinarily wouldn't do. I asked G-d one day to show me how to get things done with Him, and he showed me that it is through prayer that He moves on our situations. Prayer activates G-d to work on our behalf.

In 2 Chronicles 7:14 it says, "If My people who are called by my Name will humble themselves, and pray and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land."

Sin is in our DNA, but after you get saved the devil will come and tempt you.  You'll have to suit up in the armor of G-d.  It's the fervent prayer that G-d hears.  G-d has ordained prayer.  When we pray G-d moves to answer those prayers. It's logical then that not praying keeps G-d from working. Prayer puts G-d to work.

Look at this incredible scripture. He says, I will heal your land. There's a lot in our land that needs healing today. G-d has obligated himself to answer prayer.  If we don't pray G-d can't intervene in human affairs.  Look at some more incredible scripture in Jeremiah 33:3. It says, "Call to me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know."

Wouldn't you love for G-d to give you a revelation?  G-d said, call on me and I will show you incredible things.  Look at Psalm 91:15-16 G-d says, "He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him, and with long life I will satisfy him and show him my salvation."

There's some tremendous scripture on this subject. G-d said if you'll cry out to me, I'll hear you. I'll bless your home, your family, your job, your church.  We must intercede for others as we pray as well.  Prayer is communion with G-d.  Prayer is resting in Him, acting in Him, and leaning on G-d, and he will do His promises.  He says, remind me of my word and promises.

You got to establish the word then pray in the spoken word.  G-d has given us the weapon of prayer to win our battles and defeat the devil.  The church is here to carry out G-d's will. He says he'll answer to show you glory.  G-d's word will cause your family to be saved and others.  How do we turn this nation around? We pray.

Prayer is the work of G-d.  We carry out His will for His kingdom. G-d conditions His actions and movement through the bible then prayer.  Prayer puts G-d to work, to work on your behalf.  He is a rewarder of those who seek him. G-d doesn't move through the songs or the programs at your church, he moves through prayer. 1 Peter 5:8.

It is the devil's delight to destroy you, to make you sick, to make you sin, and to make division in your family. He walks about like a roaring lion to devour who he may. We don't come to church for a social gathering but to enter into warfare.  Ask G-d to show you how to pray. Only those who do it will know.  The Holy Spirit prays for us when we don't know how to pray ourselves.  He empowers us to do G-d's work. We're in a war. Ephesians 6:11, shows where Paul enumerates on this.

You have an enemy that wants to cheat you out of your inheritance.  We have to have G-d's weapons because we are not fighting against flesh and blood.  The devil is the G-d of the world. The prince of the air. He is in heavenly places. But Jesus is in the third heaven, where the angel took John, and through the blood of Christ that sits on that throne we have authority over the devil.

Everywhere Paul went the devil hindered him. So, you will have hindrances, but the devil cannot stop you unless you give in to him. You better learn how to pray.  Read the book of Daniel and you'll understand.  It took 21 days for Daniel's angelic answer.  The devil detained the angel.  But G-d sent Michael to help Gabriel, so Daniel could get the answer from the angel. It is in the prayer closet where your breakthroughs come.  Daniel had to pray 21 days to get an answer.

Paul had a flesh throne.  A messenger of Satan. It was a foul spirit contending with him to stop his ministry.  But Paul prayed it through every time it hindered him. If you depend on songs, the preacher, or programs at church to get you through then that's all you'll get, help in the natural.  Don't get me wrong, we need programs and fellowship but the church's real power is prayer.

G-d has limited himself to the prayer world.  Who prayed for you? That prayer saved you whoever it was coming from. Think about what that prayer by somebody else brought you through. Begin your day with a prayer, pray before you preach, pray at the end of your day.  It's more important than anything! The devil believes in prayer and trembles. He knows who is suited up. He knows G-d responds to prayer. G-d does not flow through any other means. Prayer is man's mightiest weapon.

We've got to cast the devil down, pulling down strongholds, high thoughts and imaginations into captivity.
There will come a time in your Christian life that you will say, wait I have to go and pray.  Everything has to be clothed in prayer otherwise everything you accomplish is through human capacity only.

The church must awake into righteousness, pray and believe. If we don't pray for this nation, it is doomed. G-d will not intervene if we don't pray.  G-d said, seek me with all your hearts, minds and souls and you will find me, and I will answer you.

America has sinned against G-d and has taken the 10 commandments out of our schools and off our government buildings.  But no man can stop you from praying. There is a conspiracy in the spiritual world and the devil wants to keep you from praying.  A lot of people are praying in this month of September, so make the effort to do it. Study 11 Chronicles 7:14 and memorize it.

If we obey G-d we are his children. Obedience is a key to being a child of G-d.  If you break his laws, voliciously sin, you will not go to heaven. Jesus said, if you love me you will obey my commands.

How does the devil stop prayer? One person at a time. The devil targets the Christian home. America does not want us to be a Christian nation.  We must return to our Judeo-Christian roots to save this nation.  All the devil has to do is divert G-d's people from praying.

Christians who do not pray are weak saints.  They are no threat to the devil. Give up some t.v. time and start praying for your family and your children.  The television makes you grow spiritually dull. It absorbs the time we could be giving to G-d for our victory.

1. Make prayer a primary goal in your life.

It is not optional, it's essential.  G-d will partner with you.  He's given us that responsibility.  He says if you do this it will move my hand. Oh G-d, wake us up. When prayer becomes important you will do it.  Even preachers neglect it. They think they can do it all with programs. But there will be no move of G-d in his church.  The most effective work you'll ever do for G-d will be on your knees.  Our appointment with G-d is sacred and our holy times with him is important.

2.  Reject interruptions at prayer time.

Lay the phone down, turn the t.v. off and the internet! Most interruptions are our own doing. Satan will conspire to interrupt you.

Oh what peace,
That comes through prayer.
Oh what needless pain we bear,
All because we do not give everything
To G-d in prayer

Why Do You Spell Out God's Name G-d?

Just say I Am that I Am

Our Father In Heaven

Why DoYou Spell Out God’s Name G-d?

Treating G-d's name with reverence is a way to give respect to G-d. So even though on a computer the name is not really being erased (and perhaps is not really there in the first place), and "G-d" is only an English term used to translate G-d's holy name, it is in keeping with this respect that I write "G-d" in my on-line articles which reflect the living G-d of Israel whose son is Yeshua, Jesus Christ of Nazareth.

This causes problems as a writer.  No matter how many times I type "G-d", the spell-check on the computer has no idea what I mean. "G-d" is not in its dictionary, and it won't accept it as an addition to the dictionary. So the computer comes up with all types of suggested corrections: Go, Do, G'day. And often half the name ends up on a new line: G-
d. Yet in proper biblical Writings it is written, G-d as I write a lot of proper biblical articles.

I guess I shouldn't expect any better from a computer though.  No matter how smart a computer is, certain things are beyond it. How would you program a computer to have respect for G-d's name? It is unreasonable to ask a computer to relate to G-d, because G-d is not a logical concept -- He created intellect, and He cannot be captured by  mans creation or imagination of Him. A computer is limited to logic, so it can't handle spiritual concepts. Just as a metal-detector will beep when a gun is passed through it, but it cannot pick up a person's thoughts or intentions, intellect can grasp logic and rationale, but it cannot detect the Divine.

But a human is not a computer. Intellect is not where we begin and end. We have a soul that is beyond intellect, and our soul detects G-d because our soul sees G-d. Knowing G-d is about getting in touch with the soul that knows G-d already, without needing any proof. This is not negating intellect -- it is transcending it.
How do you get in touch with your soul? Ask G-d. He'll tell you.

People think that it is a Jewish thing, but Jews don't use the name G-d. They abbreviate with YHVH or YAWH, they refer to him as Hashem. You see more Messianics and Christians using the Lord's name in writing as G-d. God is the English version to refer to our Heavenly Father. Jesus called him Father. Although I'm not sure how any name for G-d came about because when he appeared to Moses in the burning bush, and Moses asked him his name he said, "Just say, I am that I am."

G-d is holy and the reason I spell it G-d is out of respect for his holiness. You see a lot of people have lost their fear of G-d. But Jesus tells us to work out our salvation through fear and trembling.

Some say Yehovah for His name. I also know people who just write god. Now that, I could not do, but you have to look at who is writing it and what their intent is. Some people who cannot spell or give thought to proper writing may write many proper names in lower caps. So, always look at the intent of the person, and not judge what their love is for G-d by a grammatical way of writing his name, because even though it may be incorrect grammatically it may not reflect  their love and respect for the Lord at all. The love of G-d is reflected in our hearts. I just happen to like revealing my love and heart for my Father in writing his name with great honor.

Here is an example writing of an Orthodox Jew explaining what their interests are. You will see here that they don't even say the name G-d at all but Hashem and abbreviated Yaweh and Yahusha.

My interests are Ha-shem, Tetragrama YHVH, Cooking Levitical Diet, Finding lost Tribes/lost Jews, Apocalyptic and post-apocalyptic fiction, Food storage,  Shabbat, YHWH, Wind Chimes, Camping, Twelve Tribes, Ancient Hebrew alphabet, Yahusha, Mount Sinaiand.

No-one knows exactly how to pronounce YHVH (yod he vau he in hebrew letters) - yaweh and jehovah are just guesses by Christians (yaweh being a much better guess btw).

The Samaritan woman at the well begins to tell Jesus about the God of the mountain they worship. Jesus told her, "You worship a God you do not know. We worship what we know."

I don't think you can be too reverent toward G-d, but I do think He is more concerned about how we treat His people and each other. He deems that our real attitude towards Him and what our heart reveals.

“ Wash yourselves, make yourselves clean;
Put away the evil of your doings from before My eyes.
Cease to do evil,
Learn to do good;
Seek justice,
Rebuke the oppressor;
Defend the fatherless,
Plead for the widow.
“ Come now, and let us reason together,”
Says the LORD,

“ Though your sins are like scarlet,
They shall be as white as snow;
Though they are red like crimson,
They shall be as wool.
If you are willing and obedient,
You shall eat the good of the land;
But if you refuse and rebel,
You shall be devoured by the sword”;
For the mouth of the LORD has spoken.' "

Isaiah 1:16-20
