Step Into The Water

Donna Braman

MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN 2010

God gives us creative ability through the spoken word.  He wants us to declare his word over our lives and intercede for others as well.  Make this year a journey in prayer.  Write out the things you want to change and let your love overflow onto others in prayer supplication.  It's easy to pray a petition for yourself and for others one time but be committed to seeing manifestation in your prayer life this year. Sit down and make a list of the things you want God to change.  The following is a comprehensive list of things you might want to add to your list.  This list, with declarative scripture was compiled and written by the Rev. Jerry Nelson, Pastor at Westmoreland PHC in Wilson, North Carolina. I promise you if you will take a year and commit yourself to this deep relationship of prayer with the Lord it will forever change your life and you will experience the glory of God in your life and  in the lives of those you pray for. Delight yourself in the Lord and see if heaven doesn't open up before your very eyes.

DAILY PRAYER FOR SELF-EDIFICATION
Psalm 103:2, Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:

Father, in obedience to Your Word, I recall and receive anew today all the benefits Jesus has provided for me:
1. He has forgiven all my sins.
2. He is my healer and I receive my healing and good health today.
3. My life has been redeemed from destruction.
4. I am crowned with His loving kindness and tender mercies.
5. He satisfies my mouth with good things and renews my youth like the eagle's.
6. He executes righteousness and judgment for me against my enemies.
7. He makes His ways known to me. I am His child and I follow Him.
8. I received His grace and mercy to help in time of need.
9. He supplies all my need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

Read these affirmations everyday until they are in your spirit and a part of who you are in Christ:

Father, according to Ephesians 1:16-23, You have given me the spirit of wisdom and revelation to Jesus Christ.  Thank you that the eyes of my understanding are being enlightened to know the hope of your calling and the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints.  Thank you that you are revealing to me the exceeding greatness of Your power, which was wrought in Christ, when You raised Him from the dead and set Him at Your own right hand.

Father, according to Ephesians 3:14:20, grant me according to the riches of Your glory to be strengthened with might by Your Spirit in my inner man.  That Christ may comprehend with all saints what is the breadth and length and depth and height; and to know the love of Christ which passeth knowledge, that I might be filled with all the fullness of God.  I praise You, Lord that You are able to do exceedingly, abundantly above all that I ask or think, according to the power that worketh in me.

Father, according to Colossians 1:9-11, I pray that You will fill me with the knowledge of Your will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; that I might walk worthy of You unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of You; strengthened with all might, according to Your glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness.

Unto God be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.

Westmoreland has embarked upon a corporate fast from January 10th through the 31st, if your church would like to know more about bringing fasting into your pray life please request a list of the different types of fasts and the purpose and benefits of fasting collectively and individually. I recommend reading Jentezen Franklin's book on fasting, it will release power in your prayer life.

If you need prayer for you or someone you love please contact me to be put on the prayer list as we come before the Lord with prayer petitions every Friday night at Westmoreland at 7:30 and Pastor Nelson anoints us for the purpose of others. If you are stagnate in your spiritual walk or you desire deeper growth, I encourage you to go visit this wonderful church, where prayer, the word, and love of each other matters. Westmoreland is a church that has some of the most knowlegable, discerning teachers that I have seen. Pastor Nelson is an anointed man of God who walks his talk.  He serves hard, preaches in truth and spirit, and well, he praises hard too and when that unspeakable joy floods him he engages in a rejoicing dance before the Lord.  He is discerning with a fresh anointing of revelation concerning the end time church.  Come and be blessed, you'll leave changed and you'll want some more of God's word he preaches and the choir will fill you with the rejoicing sound of worship that will pull you up out of the pew to shout a praise of your own. They are not shy or ashamed about their altar services, it is a place I have come to love and have a personal relationship with where we pray it through and come before his courts with thanksgiving and praise. You can not be a part of this church and not grow in the Lord, the transparency of the spirits gathered there will draw you into the presence of the Holy Spirit and the Shekinah glory!

Services are Sunday at 11:00 AM and Sunday School is at 10:00
The church is located at 2425 Nash Street NW
