When we pray we put G-d to work. When we pray G-d does things he ordinarily wouldn't do. I asked G-d one day to show me how to get things done with Him, and he showed me that it is through prayer that He moves on our situations. Prayer activates G-d to work on our behalf.
In 2 Chronicles 7:14 it says, "If My people who are called by my Name will humble themselves, and pray and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land."
Sin is in our DNA, but after you get saved the devil will come and tempt you. You'll have to suit up in the armor of G-d. It's the fervent prayer that G-d hears. G-d has ordained prayer. When we pray G-d moves to answer those prayers. It's logical then that not praying keeps G-d from working. Prayer puts G-d to work.
Look at this incredible scripture. He says, I will heal your land. There's a lot in our land that needs healing today. G-d has obligated himself to answer prayer. If we don't pray G-d can't intervene in human affairs. Look at some more incredible scripture in Jeremiah 33:3. It says, "Call to me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know."
Wouldn't you love for G-d to give you a revelation? G-d said, call on me and I will show you incredible things. Look at Psalm 91:15-16 G-d says, "He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him, and with long life I will satisfy him and show him my salvation."
There's some tremendous scripture on this subject. G-d said if you'll cry out to me, I'll hear you. I'll bless your home, your family, your job, your church. We must intercede for others as we pray as well. Prayer is communion with G-d. Prayer is resting in Him, acting in Him, and leaning on G-d, and he will do His promises. He says, remind me of my word and promises.
You got to establish the word then pray in the spoken word. G-d has given us the weapon of prayer to win our battles and defeat the devil. The church is here to carry out G-d's will. He says he'll answer to show you glory. G-d's word will cause your family to be saved and others. How do we turn this nation around? We pray.
Prayer is the work of G-d. We carry out His will for His kingdom. G-d conditions His actions and movement through the bible then prayer. Prayer puts G-d to work, to work on your behalf. He is a rewarder of those who seek him. G-d doesn't move through the songs or the programs at your church, he moves through prayer. 1 Peter 5:8.
It is the devil's delight to destroy you, to make you sick, to make you sin, and to make division in your family. He walks about like a roaring lion to devour who he may. We don't come to church for a social gathering but to enter into warfare. Ask G-d to show you how to pray. Only those who do it will know. The Holy Spirit prays for us when we don't know how to pray ourselves. He empowers us to do G-d's work. We're in a war. Ephesians 6:11, shows where Paul enumerates on this.
You have an enemy that wants to cheat you out of your inheritance. We have to have G-d's weapons because we are not fighting against flesh and blood. The devil is the G-d of the world. The prince of the air. He is in heavenly places. But Jesus is in the third heaven, where the angel took John, and through the blood of Christ that sits on that throne we have authority over the devil.
Everywhere Paul went the devil hindered him. So, you will have hindrances, but the devil cannot stop you unless you give in to him. You better learn how to pray. Read the book of Daniel and you'll understand. It took 21 days for Daniel's angelic answer. The devil detained the angel. But G-d sent Michael to help Gabriel, so Daniel could get the answer from the angel. It is in the prayer closet where your breakthroughs come. Daniel had to pray 21 days to get an answer.
Paul had a flesh throne. A messenger of Satan. It was a foul spirit contending with him to stop his ministry. But Paul prayed it through every time it hindered him. If you depend on songs, the preacher, or programs at church to get you through then that's all you'll get, help in the natural. Don't get me wrong, we need programs and fellowship but the church's real power is prayer.
G-d has limited himself to the prayer world. Who prayed for you? That prayer saved you whoever it was coming from. Think about what that prayer by somebody else brought you through. Begin your day with a prayer, pray before you preach, pray at the end of your day. It's more important than anything! The devil believes in prayer and trembles. He knows who is suited up. He knows G-d responds to prayer. G-d does not flow through any other means. Prayer is man's mightiest weapon.
We've got to cast the devil down, pulling down strongholds, high thoughts and imaginations into captivity.
There will come a time in your Christian life that you will say, wait I have to go and pray. Everything has to be clothed in prayer otherwise everything you accomplish is through human capacity only.
The church must awake into righteousness, pray and believe. If we don't pray for this nation, it is doomed. G-d will not intervene if we don't pray. G-d said, seek me with all your hearts, minds and souls and you will find me, and I will answer you.
America has sinned against G-d and has taken the 10 commandments out of our schools and off our government buildings. But no man can stop you from praying.There is a conspiracy in the spiritual world and the devil wants to keep you from praying. A lot of people are praying in this month of September, so make the effort to do it. Study 11 Chronicles 7:14 and memorize it.
If we obey G-d we are his children. Obedience is a key to being a child of G-d. If you break his laws, voliciously sin, you will not go to heaven. Jesus said, if you love me you will obey my commands.
How does the devil stop prayer? One person at a time. The devil targets the Christian home. America does not want us to be a Christian nation. We must return to our Judeo-Christian roots to save this nation. All the devil has to do is divert G-d's people from praying.
Christians who do not pray are weak saints. They are no threat to the devil. Give up some t.v. time and start praying for your family and your children. The television makes you grow spiritually dull. It absorbs the time we could be giving to G-d for our victory.
1. Make prayer a primary goal in your life.
It is not optional, it's essential. G-d will partner with you. He's given us that responsibility. He says if you do this it will move my hand. Oh G-d, wake us up. When prayer becomes important you will do it. Even preachers neglect it. They think they can do it all with programs. But there will be no move of G-d in his church. The most effective work you'll ever do for G-d will be on your knees. Our appointment with G-d is sacred and our holy times with him is important.
2. Reject interruptions at prayer time.
Lay the phone down, turn the t.v. off and the internet! Most interruptions are our own doing. Satan will conspire to interrupt you.
Oh what peace,
That comes through prayer.
Oh what needless pain we bear,
All because we do not give everything
To G-d in prayer
