After a great trip to Washington DC with Restoring America, we've got to share our experiences with everyone. This will be a fun afternoon for kids of all ages and you can even bring your friends. Please bring a side with a beverage. The Tea Party will take care of the Hamburgers and Hotdogs. If you don't know how to share your activist spirit then you've got to be here! It's OK to bring your pet if you don't have a sitter. Make sure you have a leash, though. Please RSVP on this event.

This is a place for you and other like-minded Wilsonians who are looking for information and direction on how to take back our country. So you no longer have to feel powerless or alone as you see what is being done to our country. America is being fundamentally transformed and dissolved and we all must work together to be informed and active in halting and reversing the “progressive” direction we are being forced into.
Of course, for all of us, this can start in our homes. So we need to talk to our family and friends about America’s founding values and principles, as seen below. Then, we need to interact with our neighbors by hosting or attending weekly meetings in living rooms, coffee houses or restaurants throughout our community so that we can share thoughts, concerns and solutions with one another. Only then will we become a part of the solution.

MISSION STATEMENT
Standing for limited government, lower taxes, free markets, constitutional values, and fiscal responsibility.
The Wilson NC Tea Party is a grassroots, non-violent, non-partisan movement for liberty and freedom that crosses racial, denominational and political party lines. We are Independents, Libertarians, Democrats and Republicans. We are black, white, red, brown, and yellow. We are Catholics and Protestants, young and old, male and female and we are unified around the Judeo-Christian principles and values of our glorious founding. We are bringing “our lives, our fortunes and our sacred honor” to the table to organize a grassroots voice within Wilson County that stands for limited government, lower taxes, free markets, constitutional values, and fiscal responsibility. We put principle before party and vote for those who are most aligned with our values. We put integrity and character before flowery words and polished personas. We put common sense before utopian ideals and progressive lies.
We do not have a personal problem with any of our leaders. We honor every legitimate, Constitutional government office and position. We love our country and pray, daily, for all our leaders. However, this country is on the wrong track and nearly 80% of Americans do not trust the federal government and do not believe that it can solve America's ills (April 19th Pew Research poll).

1) America Is Good.
2) I believe in God and He is the Center of my Life. God - “The propitious smiles of Heaven can never be expected on a nation that disregards the eternal rules of order and right which Heaven itself has ordained.” from George Washington’s first Inaugural address.
3) I must always try to be a more honest person than I was yesterday. Honesty - “I hope that I shall always possess firmness and virtue enough to maintain what I consider to be the most enviable of all titles, the character of an honest man.” George Washington
4) The family is sacred. My spouse and I are the ultimate authority, not the government. Marriage/Family - “It is in the love of one’s family only that heartfelt happiness is known. By a law of our nature, we cannot be happy without the endearing connections of a family.” Thomas Jefferson
5) If you break the law you pay the penalty. Justice is blind and no one is above it. Justice - “I deem one of the essential principles of our government… equal and exact justice to all men of whatever state or persuasion, religious or political.” Thomas Jefferson
6) I have a right to life, liberty and pursuit of happiness, but there is no guarantee of equal results. Life, Liberty, & The Pursuit of Happiness - “Everyone has a natural right to choose that vocation in life which he thinks most likely to give him comfortable subsistence.” Thomas Jefferson
7) I work hard for what I have and I will share it with who I want to. Government cannot force me to be charitable. Charity - “It is not everyone who asketh that deserveth charity; all however, are worth of the inquiry or the deserving may suffer.” George Washington
8) It is not un-American for me to disagree with authority or to share my personal opinion. On your right to disagree - “In a free and republican government, you cannot restrain the voice of the multitude; every man will speak as he thinks, or more properly without thinking.” George Washington
9) The government works for me. I do not answer to them, they answer to me. Who works for whom? - “I consider the people who constitute a society or a nation as the source of all authority in that nation.” Thomas Jefferson.
